Buyers are plentiful in the East Texas Real Estate Market

While there is much debate nationally concerning the state of the residential real estate market and the mortgage industry (and the overall economy), it appears that Buyers believe that the now is the time to purchase. Regardless of motivation (e.g. retirement home, second home, investment), Buyers are reappearing for the first time in months. Our office is inundated with Buyers including first time home buyers with strong credit.

Motivating factors include but are not limited to the following:

1. Sellers realize that correct pricing translates to quicker sales.

2. Buyers believe that Sellers have come to terms with the re-sale marketplace and thus are beginning to price homes correctly.

3. Buyers believe that the residential real estate market has reached the bottom or close to the bottom. In either case, hesitating or delaying the purchase may result in missing opportunities.

4. Interest rates are a bargain.

5. Today's Buyers have strong credit.

6. East Texas is a growth oriented market in Texas.

Perhaps there is a meeting of the minds between Sellers and Buyers, thus making transactions easier to close.

Whatever the reason(s), the numbers of Buyers in the East Texas marketplace is definitely on the uptick.
